Phil Crown – Pick Up the Phone @CrownPhilip

Pop artist on the rise Phil Crown isn’t necessarily a new face to the music scene; currently residing in Oakland, California, he has been producing behind the scenes for many notable artists over the last few years. Now, Phil is stepping into the spotlight and releasing his debut EP next month; he just dropped the first visual off the upcoming Desert Son EP, for debut single “Pick Up The Phone.”
The stunning visual was shot by the talented Damien Sandoval. Traveling across the world and using Japan as his canvas, Phil created a thrilling cinematic short story for his new single that will keep you watching til the very end.
“I loved shooting in Japan and most of this video was shot guerrilla style. Many of the guys in the video are real Yakuza members and the car I was driving in the video was actually owned by a Yakuza boss,” says Phil.
The first track off his debut album is a release in collaboration with Machat Records in association with Hippos and Tanks. The video was Directed by Damien Sandoval and Produced by Hiroki Sekiguchi & Taka Arakawa.
